Our Journey: Mage Through the Years
2000s: The Spark in New York
Leon discovers the art of hookah in New York City, finding lounges where relaxation, reading, and genuine connection are the main focus. This early experience plants the seed for a new kind of lounge.
2010s: The Search in Las Vegas
Garrett, always seeking that quiet, quality-focused hookah experience, searches Las Vegas for a spot that truly honors the craft. He finds none that capture the spirit of the old lounges—until fate intervenes.
2021: A Chance Encounter
Leon and Garrett meet at a local lounge. Sharing frustrations about the Vegas scene, they dream up a lounge where hookah is truly the main event—and so the idea for Mage is born.
2021–2023: Experimentation & Building
Nearly two years are spent reading design books, testing coals, bowls, and flavors, and building custom bench seating by hand. From laser thermometers to industrial design, every detail is obsessively refined to create the ultimate hookah environment.
July 2023: Grand Opening
Mage Hookah Lounge opens its doors in Las Vegas. Tucked behind the iconic Greek-style building on Rainbow Blvd, Mage quickly becomes a destination for hookah fans looking for the purest, friendliest experience in town.
2024 & Beyond: The Lounge Evolves
Mage stands as a haven for real hookah lovers—welcoming students, professionals, travelers, and regulars who have shaped its unique character. The magic continues with every new session and every new friend who walks through our doors.
